Radiation Oncology Victoria provides critical radiotherapy services to cancer patients with a comprehensive suite of radiotherapy services, including, a linear accelerator (Linac), which is sophisticated medical equipment, used to deliver radiotherapy treatments for patients with cancer. The Linac can be used to treat cancers of nearly all types and presentations. During radiotherapy, treatment is given by directing the planned targeted radiation beams to the cancer site and surrounding area to destroy the main tumor and any nearby cancer cells
